Business development

In an effort to implement Forestry Multi-businesses, PT Alamindo Bumi Hijau therefore planned to carry out business development in collaboration with Business Partners, including the following:

ECOTOURISM

With the natural beauty of Papua, especially in Alamindo's concession area as the beauty of beaches, waterfalls, freshwater lakes and also has a variety of endangered species animal such as mambruk (Goura), cendrawasih (Paradisaea apoda), goodfellow's tree-kangaroo (Dendrolagus inustus), and the crab-eating macaque (Macaca fascicularis) that are very charming when seen in person compared to pictures, Alamindo has a challenge to be able to create a unique experience in the ecotourism business that is attractive to tourists. Through the ecotourism business, companies and tourists can also contribute to the preservation of Papua's nature, promote extraordinary biodiversity, and through this business can be in line with Alamindo's corporate social responsibility for indigenous community/Masyarakat Hukum Adat (MHA) to take part in Alamindo's business activities.

AGROFORESTRY

Alamindo is committed to the development of Papua by running simultaneously through optimal utilization of the area. With integrated agroforestry, which empowers MHA to jointly plant basic needs around the forest area including sago (Metroxylon sagu), sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas), porang (Amorphophallus muelleri Bl), vegetable crops, and also plant trees such as gaharu (Aquilaria malaccensis), nutmeg (Myristica fragrans), and sengon (Albizia chinensis) which have enormous potential to be planted in the vacant Alamindo concession area that can be used as an alternative source of livelihood for MHA in Papua as a form of effort to meet the needs of MHA life.

UTILIZATION OF NON-WOOD FOREST PRODUCT (NWFP’s)

Alamindo area has enormous potential for the utilization of NWFP`s so that Alamindo can activate MHA around the forest to utilize these forest products, including utilizing fruits (e.g. matoa/Pometia pinnata), bark to be processed into lawang oil (Cinnamomum culilawang), natural agarwood (Aquilaria malaccensis), honey, and masoi plants (Cryptocarya massoia (oken) kosterm) for the food, cosmetics, and medicine industries. To effectively navigate the domestic import and export markets of NWFP’s, Alamindo have forged a strong partnership with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry/Kamar Dagang dan Industri Indonesia (KADIN) and actively engages with the local government. This collaborative effort ensures smooth operations and unlocks valuable opportunities for sustainable growth in the NWFP sector.

WILD-BASED POPULATION MANAGEMENT

Small Irian crocodiles (Crocodylus novaeguineae) are commonly found in Alamindo's area, so to support the government in preserving crocodiles in the wild, good management is needed. The management of crocodile utilization and management applied by Alamindo is RANCHING. Ranching is the preserving of newly hatched crocodile puppies from nature and then raising them in captivity for conservation purposes.
